Job Title: Senior Legal Analyst

A little bit about our team:

Responsible for the oversight, drafting and negotiation of all U.S. employment, separation, and consulting agreements; provide advice and counsel on employee relations issues, policy development and compliance with federal, state and local employment laws; and oversee training initiatives and legal intern program.

Your role:

Responsible for oversight and administration of contract approval process. Under the supervision of an attorney, draft and negotiate employment, separation and consulting agreements for the employment legal team. Independently lead, participate and/or work with team members and business partners on special projects, as needed. Knowledge of basic legal concepts as well as strong drafting skills is essential for this position.

Here you’ll get to:

Under the supervision of an attorney and/or in consultation with legal counsel performs the following:

• Support the planning and execution of legal training programs and presentations.
• Coordinate HR/business leader approval process for employment and separation agreement deals and ensure terms comply with corporate policies and practices.
• Draft term sheets, employment agreements, offer letters, separation agreements, and consulting agreements for all US business units.
• Process invoices, including the creation of new vendors and coding of invoices in our financial systems.
• Oversee and independently manage the team’s administrative tasks such as coordinating meetings, making travel arrangements, booking conference rooms and document management.
• Review and analyze comments from outside attorneys. Make recommendations to and coordinate responses with business units in line with corporate policies and practices.
• Support and assist in department initiatives including document management processes and review of various company policies and practices.
• Respond on a timely basis to inquiries from senior executives and HR team on employment matters.
• Correspond with vendors and service providers to resolve outstanding invoice issues.
• Assist team with day-to-day management of confidential employment legal files
• Maintain and track status of all open team matters (agreements, special projects, training programs, litigation).

About you:

• Proactive in problem-solving to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Highly organized with strong time-management and execution skills -- must be able to track and prioritize multiple matters in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Exhibit the highest level of professionalism and ethics; able to handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion and sound judgment
• Able to effectively communicate and interact with employees at all levels and across business sectors, including senior executives of the company
• Interest and/or experience in the music or entertainment industry a plus
• Genuine desire to learn and take the lead on assigned tasks from inception through completion
• Experienced working on/managing large projects
• Enthusiastic, friendly and motivated team player who enjoys working with a wide variety of people from various professional backgrounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience at a law firm or in-house legal department and/or other legal background/experience

Salary Range

$32.00 to $42.00 hourly

Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
