Your role at Sephora:

As a Senior Manager of Finance, you will be responsible for supporting financial planning and analysis and any special projects / ad hoc analysis for our Partnerships and omni convenience activities. Scope will change depending on needs from management.

Lead and provide business planning support, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis. Build significant leadership skills and financial acumen to help drive growth strategies, financial reporting and analysis insight. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will assist and engage business partners in strategic financial initiatives where necessary, including ROI analysis and cost savings.


In addition, you will:

  • Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of the strategies, business issues, risks/opportunities for all areas of responsibility.
  • Oversee all components of budget/forecast for all expenses related to new partnerships and omni convenience projects and other required special projects. Monitor and review spending, identify trends/issues and lead resolution of problems
  • Manage business partners relationships to understand each business area and provide financial thought partnership.
  • Monthly P&L review with Dotcom General manager
  • Oversee monthly reporting and financial close by attending monthly close meetings, assisting with reconciling budget and forecast variances to actual results

  • Act as the primary liaison between Business Partners and finance executives to build full year budgets, advise on phasing, as well as provide financial analysis support in strategic projects
  • Manage and create P&L for new initiatives as ad-hoc requests arrive


We’re excited if you have:

  • Advanced expertise with Excel applications (interactive excel, macros) and experience with SAP and SAP Business Objects preferred
  • Thrives on an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented
  • Experience in Retail or ecommerce industry preferable
  • At least 7+ years of experience in a financial role. Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business highly preferred as well as familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements
  • Experience leading and developing teams required
  • Dynamic, independent, creative and highly motivated person who works well as a team member with non-financial personnel and executive level personnel
  • Must demonstrate strong strategic, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills


The annual base salary range for this position is $141,000.00 - $158,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
