Sr Manager, Strategic Finance

Reporting to the CFO, the Sr Manager of Strategic Finance will be a critical member of Public Goods, responsible for leading key elements of the Finance function and driving operational excellence across the organization. This role will have full ownership of financial & operating models, reporting, forecasting, planning, budgeting, and analysis.

• Effectively communicate to different audiences the company’s financial performance, business opportunities, and priorities, along with rationale supporting decisions to grow profitably
• Provide financial analysis and decision support for managers and the Leadership Team, providing strategic insight into capital or other strategic spending and operational optimization decisions
• Forge meaningful relationships with the leadership team and cross-functional business leaders and become a trusted advisor to them
• Analyze and present DTC eCommerce and B2B business KPIs, including LTV/CAC, retention, COGS, and operating expenses
• Produce regular and timely forecasts and budgets across all business lines to provide key stakeholders with an accurate assessment of performance, risks, and opportunities
• Mentor and develop a growing finance team
• Build and improve financial models, and run “ what-if ” scenario analysis to support management decision-making and alignment across functional areas
• Proactively identify initiatives for improvements that can positively impact the company's financial outlook
• Develop and maintain customized product pricing for the B2B team to optimize both revenue and margins
• Assist the CEO and CFO with board communication and other IR matters

Requirements

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Ability to translate complex business operating models and operational indicators into financial performance
• In-depth working knowledge of the principles of operational efficiency, equity & debt financing, financial statements, financial modeling, and ratios and trend analysis
• Ability to see around corners and anticipate future business scenarios, enabling the company to plan for, and invest in, future growth wisely
• Strong understanding of eCommerce drivers and metrics; CPG startup experience is a plus
• 7+ years of deep and progressive financial planning and analysis experience
• Strong executive presence and be comfortable and credible interfacing with executive leadership and the board of directors
• Heavy financial & operational modeling experience in Investment Banking, PE/VC, and Strategy Consulting
• A hands-on manager who enjoys a fast-paced startup environment
