About The Opportunity
The Strategic Finance team focuses on business performance management, asset and deal underwriting, financial planning and reporting, pricing & revenue optimization, and strategic initiatives. This role partners closely with the cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Real Estate, Development, Legal).
The ideal candidate is analytical, motivated, resourceful and eager to dive into the data. To succeed in this role, you must have strong leadership, communications and relationships skills as well as strong problem solving and analytical skills. You will have significant autonomy, so we’re looking for good judgment and experience working cross-functionally and at all levels.
Responsibilities
Underwriting & Asset Analysis
  • Independently perform asset-specific analyses (e.g. asset performance reviews, new asset underwriting, portfolio optimization, transaction underwriting, pricing, etc.) to drive business improvements. Collaborate across the organization, especially with counterparts in Sales, Community, Real Estate, Development, and Legal.
  • Gather, evaluate, and summarize market data (i.e. rents, vacancies, absorption, etc.) to inform real estate and sales decisions
  • Support sales throughout the end-to-end sales process for complex transactions to ensure deals are in alignment with Company objectives
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Deliver timely reporting of financials and key performance indicators (KPIs) with minimal supervision and surfaces new insights to support the business.
  • Lead key components in the development of the territory’s annual operating plan, budgeting, forecasting, and review.
General
  • Live the mission and values of WeWork at all times and model the leadership behaviors you expect to see in your territory. Mentors junior team members and develops/maintains cooperative work relationships with cross-functional partners.
Qualifications
  • Experience defining analytical/research projects, analyzing data, modeling, and generating practical insights and recommendations.
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A and/or Strategic Finance equivalent functions; experience in analytically and/or transactionally-driven roles is a plus (i.e. Investment Banking, Consulting, Analytics, etc.)
  • Resourceful and relentless. Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations.
  • Highly motivated and willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once.
  • BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or other course of study
  • Understanding and knowledge of real estate fundamentals and terminology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deal with complex problems and present recommendations and findings in a clear, concise format.
  • Quick and scrappy learner who adapts well to a fast-moving environment and gets things done, combines creativity, problem-solving skills, and a can-do attitude to overcome any obstacle.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Pay: $97,700 - 130,200 USD
Incentive Compensation: WeWork employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan specific to their role. Your recruiter will detail what incentive plan is applicable to this specific role. WeWork incentive plans are subject to the terms of the applicable incentive compensation plan, which will be made available to you after commencing employment. WeWork reserves the right to amend its incentive plans, and nothing in this job requisition or any other document creates a right to a specific incentive plan payment.
Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for comprehensive benefits (subject to the terms of applicable plans/policies/agreements, which will be made available to you after commencing employment), including 20 days of PTO, approximately 10 paid holidays, 80 hours of paid sick leave, 16 weeks paid parental leave, competitive healthcare benefits, 401K plan, Life & AD&D insurance.
