As an Electrical Designer you will be responsible for performing calculations, system design, equipment selections, reports, progress submittals, and executing designs in BIM platforms for a wide variety of project types. As a Senior team member, you will be responsible for assuring project completeness and accuracy within the allocated period of time and monetary budget. AECOM has a robust portfolio of project types including hospitality, commercial office building, federal, industrial, and science and technology. The areas of system design may include:

• Electrical Distribution Design
• Fire Alarm Design
• Lighting Design
• Standby Generator Systems Design
• New Building and Remodel Construction Design

Responsibilities Include:

• Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes.
• Review design methods, procedures, changes in scope, and client correspondence with the Lead Engineer
• Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
• Knowledgeable of construction administration responsibilities including submittal review, RFI responses, performing site visits and writing field reports
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Assist with review of all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check
• Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and instructions from client promptly while monitoring project design progress
• Effective working individually and within team environments.
• Ability to travel for job site visits and building surveys as required
• Strong spoken and written communications skills.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement

Minimum Requirements:

• HS + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of applicable design codes and specification requirements
• Knowledgeable of other building systems (structural, mechanical, plumbing, technology, etc.) for discussions with Owners, Contractors, Architects, and Code Authorities
• Familiar with COMcheck, Visual, AGi32, and SKM Power Tools
• Experience designing working drawings, wiring diagrams, wiring connection specifications or cross-sections of underground cables
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD required.

• Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $43.27-$60.10
