Job Description
Summary The Senior Director - Professional Development and Early Career role within the Aerospace DT team is responsible for overseeing the programs for interns, DTLP, ADTE and other professional development programs supporting the DT community. In this role, you will the manage existing members of DT professional development programs, as well as coordinating the recruitment of new members to the programs. You will also work in close partnership with HR, AS CIOs and DT Senior Leadership team to ensure alignment of the DT programs with the overall Aerospace strategy for professional development. The Sr. Director, Professional Development and Early Career will evaluate DT professional development needs and enhance content and processes to make certain that programs remain pertinent and effective.


In This Role, The Successful Candidate Will


  • Work with strategic partner vendors for their content inclusion in the Aerospace Professional Development programs.
  • Create a consistent communication rhythm, keeping IT & HR leadership in synch with overall strategy, initiatives, and outcomes.
  • Establish and foster a work culture at all levels that is positive, collaborative, respectful, innovative, dynamic, with high integrity, and capable of driving positive change over sustained periods of time.
  • Institute processes for evaluating DT professional development strategy and succession planning success.
  • Partner and collaborate with HR organization partners on program initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain DT professional development policies and procedure; ensuring appropriate metrics, controls & SOPs are in place & driving the appropriate behaviors.
  • Lead DT Professional Development programs and operations, supporting new and existing members.
  • Share technical, procedural, and business knowledge with others on the programs as part of coaching and mentoring programs.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Digital Technology
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 10 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 13 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 15 years of professional experience.
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a People Leader.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Lean principles and application of standard work.
  • Excel at stakeholder relationship building and communication, curriculum design and implementation, change management and program management.
  • May manage other people leaders and demonstrated ability to manage senior individual contributors. Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing team members and providing feedback on performance toward goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills working in concert with DT & HR leaders, Professional Development Subject Matter Experts, and program participants.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish operational performance metrics and drive continuous efficiencies and improvements for systems, processes, and resources.
  • Demonstrated effective strategy development and execution. Collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from stakeholders. Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.


For US Based Roles


The salary range for this position is $176,000 - $293,300. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan.
