This position combines overarching leadership of the field marketing department and regional support. This role directs the development, implementation, and maintenance of marketing programs, merchandising and field support services and is responsive to current trends and demands in the market place and positions CCL Hospitality Group (CCL-HG) as a leader in existing and new business. The Senior Director of Marketing oversees the Regional Field Marketing team, strategic initiatives and the companywide communication of CCL-HG’s field marketing department while also owning a small list of region accounts to complete required site visits and all roles encompassed by a Director of Field Marketing. This key leader will communicate, train and provide implementation support on marketing and merchandising elements for all company consumer experience programs and services. Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, team development, marketing and creative skills are essential. Continuously document and refine company marketing standards and communicate these across the company’s market segments. Create solutions that will enhance the customer experience, promotion effectiveness, sale of products and customer service and hospitality
Essential Responsibilities:

Essential Functions and key tasks:
- Train, support, manage performance and develop the field marketing team and managers in partnership with the broader leadership team and operations
- Supports implementation with our operators and creates the distinctive retail image and merchandising strategy that distinguishes Unidine and Morrison Living locations,( i.e. when a customer walks into a location we create a first impression that the café and dining room is clean, inviting, and tasteful and projects quality and attention to detail.)
- Recruit, support and manage Regional Marketing Champions for optimal regional marketing support
- Diamond Service facilitator for training, QA in on-site visits and overall field support
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of marketing and merchandising principles and standards and participates in program development support as required
- Utilize internal social and communication channels to support corporate goals and drive engagement around marketing and merchandising excellence
- Support the regional wellness champion structure to drive best in class action towards a culture that values the health and safety of our residents, clients and associates
- Ensures tools and processes are trained to and in place for the operators to sustain the programs to standards on a daily basis.
- Work with Culinary and Nutrition Team as needed in communication, training and implementation support
- Supports new business development in the sales survey, solution development, proposal, client presentations as needed
- Supports special events in the field as needed for trade shows, company CCC events.
- Use operations performance statistics to measure the effectiveness of our dining programs and makes adjustments in services, products and practices in order to yield higher contribution rates or lower costs.
- Participates in client QBR’s as needed with regional leadership
- For the small group of assigned accounts: Trains and implements the company consumer facing and front-of-the-house programs, systems and processes in existing and new retail service cafés and senior living dining rooms in client communities and all their dining options within a community
- Supports implementation with our operators and creates the distinctive retail image and merchandising strategy that distinguishes Unidine and Morrison Living locations,( i.e. when a customer walks into a location we create a first impression that the café and dining room is clean, inviting, and tasteful and projects quality and attention to detail.)
- Ensures tools and processes are trained to and in place for the operators to sustain the programs to standards on a daily basis.
- Ensures the proper leadership and competencies of the Resident Experience Manager roles working through the regional field marketing team.
- Manages the performance competency and professional development of the team
Education:
- BS / BA degree
Experience:
- Graphics background is a plus but not required
- 5 plus years marketing experience in the food service, restaurant or retail dining business or an Operations/Culinary background with demonstrated ability to market programs, merchandising skills and superior customer experience creation that is considered cutting edge and industry leading in the visual execution and presentation
- Operations knowledge and understanding
- Strong culinary, catering and service skills are a plus but not required
PC Skills:
Position requires working knowledge of the following applications: MS Office, especially Power Point and Canva. Working knowledge of any graphics programs.
