The Manufacturing Senior Associate will contribute to the set-up and establishment of routine and complex operations for the GMP production of Cell Therapy products. This individual operates in accordance with environmental, health, safety, and cGMP guidelines. The Manufacturing Senior Associate is responsible for enabling the hands-on execution of production activities as they relate to cell isolation, expansion, stimulation, harvest, and final fill operations of manufactured products in addition to training of additional operators and supporting development efforts for process improvements, efficiencies and compliance objectives.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Maintain training and coach junior level employees on manufacturing process activities.
• Set-up equipment and processing suite for production of Cell Therapy products.
• Maintain documentation according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).
• Ability to troubleshoot, think innovatively, and work with cross-functional groups to identify and resolve process issues.
• Perform responsibilities according to procedure while maintaining compliance and safe operating practices.
• Lead and execute routine and complex production processes including, but not limited to, cell isolation, expansion, stimulation, harvest, and final fill operations.
• Demonstrate safe working behaviors and holds team members accountable for safety.
• Author and own process establishment and improvement projects with on-time completion.
• Exercise good judgement and maintain compliance; recognize any non-conformities from accepted practice and notify supervisor.
• Identify, plan, and lead shift activities according to established manufacturing schedule.
• Utilize process knowledge to influence positive change during the review and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Batch Records.
• Provide feedback to supervisor on recommendations for procedural and process improvements.
• Establish the knowledge to operate and monitor manufacturing equipment and process during production of Cell Therapy products.
• Profound cGMP skills and leads by example.
• Contribute to establishing and enabling process improvements, efficiencies, and compliance objectives.
• Contribute or author Quality Management System documents as assigned.
