Job Overview:
Macy’s is looking for an analyst with e-commerce or consulting experience and business acumen to fill the role of Senior Analyst, Digital Analytics. The Senior Analyst is responsible for analyzing the health of the digital business, defining new tools to optimize our existing processes, working cross-functionally to understand trends and recommending opportunities to drive growth. You are a great fit if you have experience working with cross-functional teams, consulting to internal business stakeholders, creating a data-driven culture, and you’re passionate about digital retail. We’re looking for someone who has the analytical and storytelling skills to surface meaningful insights and the interpersonal skills to communicate insights in a compelling, proactive, relevant way. The Senior Analyst will partner directly with the Principal and VP of Digital Analytics to identify opportunities and connect the Digital Analytics function with the larger enterprise. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
The Senior Analyst, Digital Analytics responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Collaboration & Analysis:
- Consistently demonstrate regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Strong collaborator who can influence partners and represent the Digital Analytics function in key stakeholder meetings.
- Lead special projects for Digital Analytics working closely with Digital Strategy & Enterprise teams.
- Develop prioritization framework to communicate business & customer value to cross-functional partners and influence resource allocation.
- Develop analysis frameworks to uncover insights and presentations to share key insights with the enterprise.
- Create holistic views of digital performance across business units, partnering with Merchandising and Product teams to understand key drivers of productivity.
- Partner with Analytics functions across the enterprise advising on best practices for leveraging digital data to drive the business.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Knowledge of MS Office computer programs are required
- Expertise in SQL, data manipulation; experience with Tableau or other visualization platforms a plus.
- Ability to effectively share technical information, communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of business
- Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university
- Experience with web analytics tools, preferably Adobe Analytics.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
- Ability and desire to take product/project ownership
- 3-5 years direct experience
- Able to juggle multiple projects - can identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize time and communicate timeline to team members
- Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
