Your Role at Baxter

Your role as a Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist positions you to be directly involved in the physical production that enables Baxter to fulfill our mission to save and sustain lives. You manage the line between meeting production timelines and making quality products. As a manager, you are the trusted critical connection between the business and the workers on the floor.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide training to all levels across the site on the use and practice of improved processes, procedures, and tools.
  • Continually develop personal skills and knowledge to meet the constantly evolving needs of the company.
  • Facilitate and lead change in a fast-paced environment by using strong interpersonal skills.
  • Lead site in the development, planning, and execution of a best-practice transformation strategy. Collaborate with OPEX organization to develop strategic CI initiatives and translate them into concrete goals and objectives.
  • Lead complex, high-impact projects across multiple functions or departments.
  • Focus on business performance and constantly strive to eliminate waste by using industry best-practice.

What you'll bring

  • Associate degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience accomplished through a combination of education and relevant work experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques that will improve the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • 2 years of similar job-related experience preferred.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Bronze Certification preferred.
  • Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges. Ability to adapt to changing situations and adjust actions in relation to others' actions.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Ability to develop others through coaching, mentoring, and other methods intended to improve knowledge or skills. Ability to motivate, develop, and direct others as they work, identifying the best people for the job.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $68,000 to $156,000, plus an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
