TITLE: Senior Associate

LOCATION: New York, NY (Option to work remotely within a commutable distance from the worksite)

DUTIES: Execute secondary private equity transactions including acquisition of limited partnership interests as well as General Partners (GP)-led secondary transactions. Screen and conduct both business and tax due diligence on secondary private equity transactions (in North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia) across multiple asset classes including buyout, growth equity, venture capital, distressed and credit investments. Perform industry and company research, in-depth valuation analysis of private companies, assets and funds from various stages, sectors, and geographies. Assist the senior team in the preparation and presentation of due diligence materials, screening, and investment committee memos. Develop and maintain relationships with GPs and develop network within secondary private equity industry including secondary agents and other secondary private equity buyers and investors to enhance due diligence insights and identify new opportunities. Monitor and report on existing investments in the firm’s secondary portfolios by attending annual meetings, having regular dialogues with GPs, providing quarterly valuations, and performing portfolio analysis. Conduct product development, asset allocation analyses, fund marketing, private equity fundraising and communications with investors of the firm’s secondary fund. Interact with different parts of the firm to gather information necessary to make investment decisions in various strategies. Perform financial modeling, financial accounting, and company valuation. Negotiate legal documents including Term Sheet and NDA. Develop and provide recommendations for the deal team. Support the private equity marketing team with investor relations and communication. Present transaction highlights for active deals to existing and potential investors. Review work of and train junior Associates and Analysts. Participate in the recruiting process for pre-MBA Associates, including resume review and technical screening.

REQTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related field plus four (4) years of experience in the position offered, or as a Financial Analyst, or a related position. Must have four (4) years of experience working within the investment banking and/or private equity sector performing all of the following: Corporate finance and financial modeling; and Financial accounting and company valuation. Must also have two (2) years of experience with all of the following: Drafting investment committee materials; Negotiating legal documents including Term Sheet and NDA; Tax due diligence; Conducting due diligence on secondary private equity transactions in the US, Europe and Asia including buyout, growth equity, venture capital, and distressed investments; Private equity fundraising, including meeting and preparing marketing and investment update materials for prospective investors; and Developing GP relationships and network within secondary private equity industry including agents, buyers and investors.

HOURS: Full-Time; Mon-Fri (40 hrs/week)

SALARY: $185,000 - $185,000 per year
