Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, New York. Work as a developer on a global team responsible for real-time trading, risk management, and trade processing systems using the proprietary Bolt Web platform that are integral to the Firm's Commodities business using Java, Javascript and Goldman Sachs proprietary database and development platform (SecDB). Write code to develop, modify, and enhance Commodities Bolt Web systems for real-time client inquiry capture, quoting, trading, risk management, trade processing and associated controls for such flows, using Java, Javascript and SecDB. Provide real-time production support coverage of the Commodities Bolt Web systems and participate in the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of processes that comprise the systems. Assist in the diagnosis and resolution of incidents while maintaining the stability and integrity of Goldman Sachs’ systems. Work directly with traders, sales, and strategist users to define application requirements, resolve project issues, escalating to more senior team members as and when necessary. Design complex systems along with developing project plans and identify key milestones and critical project issues. Provide technical guidance and leadership to more junior teammates. Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies. No knowledge of proprietary technologies is required pre-hire.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computational Finance, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years with the following: programming in Java, C++, or scripting languages; Object Oriented Design and Development, including experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support; programming in the Linux, Unix, and Windows environments; developing and supporting real-time financial systems related to Commodities; and work and communicate in a Commodities environment, working with Trading and Sales stakeholders to gather requirements, define, develop, and support technology solutions, improve current processes and develop solutions.
Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $160,000 – $180,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
