In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate on the design, development, and iteration of formative and diagnostic assessments that drive BrainPOP products to build mastery and cultivate deeper learning for ALL students
  • Manage timelines and expectations for assessment capabilities, including coordination across internal and external stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Help integrate AI powered diagnostic and reporting capabilities that provide further learning and assessment support to teachers and students
  • Cultivate a strong collaborative culture while working with designers, developers, and engineers
  • Collaborate with content teams to develop quality learning and assessment content at scale based on fine-tuned generative-AI models
  • Work closely with learning designers, learning scientists, efficacy researchers, and engineers to ensure that students are working toward achieving learning objectives and measuring learning processes
  • Work with product managers, project managers, product designers, and user experience researchers to help architect, plan, and prioritize improvements and iterations to help manage stakeholder expectations and feedback
  • Ensure that the BrainPOP assessments meet rigorous standards of accessibility, validity, reliability, and effectiveness to drive knowledge and skills development
You Have

  • Comfortable with rapidly changing environments
  • In-depth knowledge of the current literacy research base as well as a practical understanding of what teachers need in the classroom
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative spirit, with the ability to work across groups and provide and implement feedback at nearly every phase of implementation
  • Proven experience with designing formative and summative ELA assessments for K-8 digital learning/assessment solutions
  • Solid writing and communication skills

  • ELA teaching experience in K-8 (classroom face-to-face or online)
  • Deep knowledge of literacy standards and state assessment design trends across a national landscape in grades K-8
On Your Resume

  • Ability to work within an agile and iterative creation process

For all other countries, we have competitive pay bands based on market standards. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skill set, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.
