The Senior Accountant will process and maintain share-based compensation accounting, support the financial reporting process, assist in the preparation of SEC filings and earnings releases, support external audit and tax preparation, and analyze General Ledger (GL) accounts and transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and present analysis on advanced compensation plans and performance.
• Follow proper operational and internal controls over financial reporting and processes assigned.
• Support the preparation of quarterly earnings release.
• Analyze GL accounts and transactions and supply variance explanations.
• Facilitate the XBRL tagging process.
• Support the external audit and tax preparation processes.
• Draft technical accounting memos on the application of new and existing accounting standards.
• Research accounting topics, guidance, and other SEC filings.
• Support GAAP and SEC compliance over financial reporting.
• Process and maintain share-based compensation accounting.
• Preparation of the SEC 10-Q and 10-K filings.
• Record, document, and support all transactions in accordance with company policies, generally accepted accounting principles, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.
• Assist with preparing analyses for accounting project work and ad hoc reporting as needed.
• Reconcile GL accounts and clear transactions.
• Assist with monitoring and assessment of financial accounting regulations and pronouncements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft office and advanced Excel experience.
• Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Must pass all pre-employment screening.
• Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Public Accounting and SEC experience.
• Financial services industry experience.
• Multi-unit experience.
