ROLE OVERVIEW

The Sr. Account Manager’s primary focus area is to support the efforts of the Packaging resources and McDonald’s Packaging category in the United States. Secondarily, support other US growth categories for the McDonald’s system as needed. Is frequently engaged with coordinating the customers working programs, leading initiatives, and managing the engagement of Packaging Service Line SMEs in support of these deliverables and/or Sr. Account Director.


They will play a critical role in the tracking and ensuring delivery of our US measures process, securing resources, and directing activities to support the key needs of the account or Sr. Account Director and ensure that the role and value of tms/HAVI is clearly communicated.


Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with various Packaging Service competencies to insure optimal organization design and staffing in support of customer needs
  • Execution of the account plan and support growth of existing businesses
  • Supporting the account’s business needs and coordinating delivery of resources internally to address those needs
  • Deployment and tracking of local market strategy deliverables
  • “First line of defense” in mitigating account issues and “first line of charge” in developing account opportunities
  • Coordinate/align with particular competencies to deliver proactive account support
  • Support the US Local Market engagement on and delivery of core packaging services as defined and aligned with Global McDonald’s
  • Ensure effective internal communication and alignment with relevant customer stakeholders and key departments
  • Support the development of market level Packaging Business Reviews or Updates
  • Responsible for identifying and resolving any barriers that prohibit tms/HAVI from optimally delivering the agreed-upon services
  • Key account representation for all market requests
  • Collect and disseminate as necessary appropriate account intelligence to various tms/HAVI stakeholders
  • Clearly communicating our value proposition through internal teams/competencies and directly to the customer

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Very good organizational and project management skills
  • Minimum 5 years of proven business experience in customer facing role, preferably account management
  • Proven record of accomplishment of managing through influence
  • Willingness to attend key customer meetings at MHQ as needed
  • Proven experience in leading, managing and motivating non-direct reports
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Packaging experience required
  • Strong in leading a team
  • Purchasing/logistics/supply chain experience
  • Willingness to travel (<20%)
  • A self-motivated individual combined with results driven approach
  • Experience managing upward and sideways within an organization
  • Experience with financially driven business
  • Understanding of / competencies within the QSR/food service packaging space a bonus
  • Experience in working with multi-functional teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication & presentation skills
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively to different stakeholders
  • Very strong in building up relationships with different stakeholders
