Seed Quality Coordinator
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Seed Quality Coordinator, are to:
- Able to serve as a representative and prepare the team for external ISO, NSHS or ISTA audits;
- Forklift and/or Raymond certification as required;
- Stakeholder expectations;
- Lead procurement efforts of laboratory consumables, equipment, and other supplies as needed;
- Acts as lead quality auditor for the site or region;
- Demonstrates SSHE awareness and leads/supports improvements based on observations and/or strategic initiatives;
- Leads implementation of Quality and Production systems;
- Leverages key performance indicators to support a specific area(s) or the department to deliver on our commitments;
- Maintain and ensure sampling system integrity and chain of custody by leveraging the IMS;
- Strives to provide the best service possible for our internal and external customers;
- Ensures infrastructure and team are equipped to deliver world class quality data;
- Works with Manager to delegate team assignments within onePSS Best Practice Network;
- Manage capital project implementation.
- Resolving broken equipment/repairs with the technician, leadership team, or facilities;
- Identifies the need for new controlled procedures or work instructions;
- Subject matter expert and trainer on not limited to onePSS TRAAC system, GIMS, and SAP;
- Leads meetings with business stakeholders to review sampling or testing services and performance; Represents Supply Chain partner needs within the lab and facilitates cross-functional conversations around achieving, changing, or improving SLA's;
- Coordinate facility maintenance for large projects;
- Completes Quality and Safety Risk Assessments Able to work independently or as part of a team on corrective action mitigation controls;
- Trains other sites (Distribution Center, Tolling, or Production) in the region on Sampling, Sample Management, or Testing;
- Recommends new policies and procedures for lab operation;
- Monitors workload to identify overdue samples or tests. Ensures end to end sample lifecycle management for the North America region;
- Responsible for resolution of inquiries, documentation, and completion of corrective actions;
- Delegates work within or between teams to better utilize department resources in order to meet
- Work with laboratory assistant to update and maintain master inventory list;
- Invests time to understand upstream and downstream stakeholder needs;
- Works with stakeholders to resolve escalated quality issues impacting the labs and supply chain;
- Leverages methodologies like 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma to challenge and improve processes and work practices;
- Works with management and stakeholders to lead or drive continuous improvement projects to completion;
- Collaborates with Regional and Global functions to initiate and complete comprehensive quality testing and inventory reviews;
- Monitor lab equipment performance and usage;
- Organizes continuous improvement actions or workshops for the team or with Supply Chain partners;
- Helps Manager to lead Regional and or Global improvements initiatives;

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written) issues and status of tasks in a timely manner;
- Ability to work in Temperature Controlled Cold room as needed (50 degrees Fahrenheit);
- Ability to work in a dusty environment as needed;
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment;
- Ability to execute computer transactions accurately and consistently according to provided business requirements;
- Strong organization, detail oriented, flexible, highly dependable, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment;
- Advanced proficiency rating in two and Expert in two of the four Functional Attribute LIFE Values and Advanced proficiency rating in one: Technical Acumen, Continuous Improvement / Operational
- Ability to subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure (including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals);
- Ability to obtain AASCO and or ISTA sampler certification.
- Excellence / Innovation, Managing Conflict, Building Stakeholder Engagement / Change Champion;
- Associate’s degree required;
- Ability to Lift up to 60 pounds;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Related field preferred.

Employees can expect to be paid an hourly rate between $30.48 to $45.72. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This hourly range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicants skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
