Working as part of a cross functional team, you deliver the RDQ activities required to complete new product development, portfolio maintenance and/or productivity projects with an emphasis on meeting the desired consumer experience.

How You Will Contribute

With the support and guidance of a manager, you will organize and execute projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements and development activities (e.g. product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation etc.). You will also write technical reports that will require the analysis and interpretation of results and that lead to conclusions and recommendations and create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications.

What you need to know about this position:

This is a Product Development RD&Q position in the Global Product Platform Biscuit Category.

What extra ingredients you will bring:

• Strong understanding of Food Science, Food Chemistry or Food Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience working with proven track record of successful product launches and product development in the Food Industry.

Education / Certifications:

• Major: Food Science, Core Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering.
• Bachelor's degree (4 yr).

Job specific requirements:

This job is accountable for leading, planning, developing and at times implementing assigned projects with medium to high complexity with moderate guidance from his/her manager for Biscuit category in product development and commercialization areas.

This role will focus on delivering against product platform initiatives in the Biscuit category.

This role requires the jobholder to:

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to influence product brief, develop design hypothesis and create a Consumer Learning Strategy.
• Lead complex problem investigation and root cause analysis, using multifaceted technical knowledge to define solutions, prioritizing corrective actions and leading cross functional alignment.
• Lead functional input with cross functional partners; independently plans, co-ordinates and manages functional activities from initiation to solution.
• Demonstrate consumer curiosity, research consumer wants and needs, and keeps the consumer at the heart of design.
• Recommend actions to optimize enterprise benefits of development, identifying and mitigating commercial risk and aligning solutions with key stakeholders.
• Apply consumer research outcomes and consumer experience understanding to technical decisions.
• Test hypothesis through experimentation using relevant consumer inspired stimulus (product/packs/images).
• Understand where and how to source relevant consumer and market information and synthesize the outcomes to form insights, hypothesize product, process and pack design opportunities, and identifies Critical To Quality (CTQ) attributes.

Travel requirements:

This role requires flexibility to conduct lab, pilot & plant trials according to project requirements.
