We are looking for a Technical Analyst II / Junior Product Owner to collaborate with business, technology, and management within Verisk to shape, implement and oversee content and feature delivery of the Core Lines product suite.
Responsibilities
  • Drive tracking and transparency on milestones and business value
  • Drive creation and maintenance of a healthy and high-quality user story backlog: develop, iterate and refine use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria and other forms of documentation in Confluence / Jira
  • Analyze and synthesize documentation, data, market best practices, stakeholder interviews to generate business requirements
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders, e.g., defining (digital) product roadmap, feature refinement
  • Work closely with (Digital) Product Manager(s) to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI. Contribute specific understanding of assigned scope to the overall product roadmap.
  • Models an action-oriented work ethic
  • High attention to detail (e.g., root cause analysis of errors / bugs)
  • Engages in planning, grooming and other Agile ceremonies
Qualifications
Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, facilitation, mediation, negotiation, collaboration, and presentation
  • 2+ years’ experience in a digital product organization strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent education is strongly preferred
  • Experience gathering / analyzing business requirements and creating / maintaining feature backlogs a must
  • Strong ability to organize material, analyze and develop recommendations
  • Experience in insurance policy language and rating algorithms is desirable
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in content and content platform projects is desirable
  • Strong ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels in the organization
  • Strong applied knowledge of software development technologies, primarily with Agile and SAFe principles
