The candidate will be responsible for brand stewardship of two Main Biscuit Brands within the Jewel Team in NA Biscuits. This role includes delivering a variety of projects across the brands portfolio including maintaining and optimizing products and delivering against quality and margin management goals. This person will be also responsible for developing line extensions for the brands. In addition, this person will provide support as necessary to other brands within NA Biscuit

How You Will Contribute

The candidate must be versatile, able to work in cross-functional teams, and be capable of working proactively across multiple projects.

The candidate should have demonstrated ability to:

• Develop project objectives and technical approach in response to business initiatives.
• Drive excellence in product management.

Autonomously plan and execute work plans, building upon the work request to deliver a robust approach, leveraging previous experience where appropriate.

• Have a strong knowledge of the commercialization process as well as functional characteristics of ingredients and process unit operations, including how they impact finished products to meet consumer expectations.
• Analyze results of experiments and translate them into actionable recommendations.
• Act as a resource and mentor to junior members of the department.
• Act as a lead or key member of cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise and appropriate linkages back to the internal / external technical community.
• Interact / communicate to senior members of the organization and lead cross-functional teams for project of appropriate scope.

• Able to develop and drive technical projects with proper scientific rigor: conduct appropriate testing, gather and analyze data, and develop recommendations based on findings.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and manage complexity, from bench top to full commercialization.
• Strong technical foundation and technical curiosity. Knowledge of biscuit formulation/processes is a strong plus.

Education / Certifications:

BS in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

Job specific requirements:

Minimum of 8 yrs. experience, preferably in the food industry

Travel requirements:

20-30 percent

Work schedule:

On-site role based in East Hanover, NJ. Flexible hybrid work schedule.
