Job Description

Responsibilities

Coordinate the review and approval process for applications submitted to the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC); conduct substantive analysis of all submissions for compliance with regulations and institutional policies and procedures. Responsible for coordinating the protocol review and continuing review processes; collect, track and process study documentation; and document committee findings into review letters, meeting minutes and databases. Coordinate semi-annual program evaluations, review and facility inspection, compile/submit and maintain an updated PHS Assurance, and draft and maintain institutional policies and standard operating procedures. Develop training programs, and conduct/document IACUC and IBC member and investigator training.


Requirements

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree OR significant/applicable college coursework that demonstrates competency
  • Minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible experience supporting professional staff in healthcare, science or research field, preferably in a regulatory environment, performing a combination of the following:
  • Drafting, editing and developing communications and/or reports
  • Reviewing/analyzing applications against regulations/policies
  • Project management/coordination in a team environment
  • Data analysis and data entry.

Required Credentials:

  • N/A

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Scientific, Laboratory Animal Science, or related field
  • Advanced degree or certification in regulatory affairs
  • Experience in or knowledge of animal research/IBC regulations
  • Laboratory bench research experience.


Min to Max Hourly Salary$39.24 - $58.86 /hr


Min to Max Annual Salary$81,619.20 - $122,428.80 /yr


Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children's offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
