The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the leadership and coordination of all food & beverage initiatives, maintaining established operational and service standards, and maximizing profits for the Restaurant.
Essential Functions

- Responsible for arrival, storage, and organization of all beverage products in conjunction with accounting department guidelines.
- Ensures proper procedures for the handling of financial transactions and credit control.

- Maintains a friendly and caring demeanor at all times in a fast pace environment.
- Communicates effectively and genuinely with guests, employees, and other departments.
- Able to find guest-centric solutions. Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to resolve problems.
- Understands beverage control including days on hand, perpetual inventory, bar pars, portion control, costs controls, beverage potentials, a mix of sales analysis for beverage, issue and returns, food standards, and period end inventory.
- Effectively holds monthly training classes for all food and beverage employees to train on safety, product knowledge, proper service procedures, and other restaurant-related guidelines.
- Responsible for executing and reporting month-end inventory in conjunction with accounting department guidelines.
- Manages in compliance with all applicable food, beverage, and liquor laws.
- Forms a partnership with the purchasing manager to ensure proper product and pricing are “on hand” at all times.
- Implements agreed upon food and beverage policy and procedures throughout the property.
- Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and attire.
- Monitors adherence to all food and liquor control policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Work environment
This position operates in a restaurant setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls, and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days vary based on business needs. This includes weekends, holidays, evenings, and/or overnight shifts.
Required Education and Experience
- Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe.
- Remain stationary for long periods of time.
- Able to walk and stand during the entire shift.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Frequent washing of hands.
- A minimum of (1) year of experience in restaurant management.
- A minimum of (2) years of bar/restaurant experience.
