The General Manager is the heart of Parterre and keeps all the moving parts and personalities of the restaurant working together smoothly and efficiently.

General Manager Expectations

• Perform opening and closing procedures and take deposits to the bank.
• Expo food, ensuring items are made to Executive Chef's expectations.
• Interact with guests to ensure they receive the highest level of customer service.
• Utilize a coaching mentality when working with staff and seek to encourage, be hands on, and continuously train.
• Work with clients to book private events at the facility.
• Review work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service and performance.
• Seat customers and develop an awareness of when tables will be finished, to effectively seat reservations and accommodate walk ins.
• Prepare weekly staffing schedules and assign duties.
• Have open availability Wednesday - Sunday, with occasional Monday/Tuesday private events.
• Perform weekly inventories and prepare and submit food and alcohol orders.
• Review budgets and P&L statements and develop a plan for possible improvements and forecast for the future.
• Hire, train, retain and motivate team members - develop and implement new training and service standards.
• Assess team member performance and deliver actionable and timely feedback.

General Manager Skills & Experience

• Conflict resolution skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience with Toast and Open Table a plus
• Management level front of house experience
• Interviewing and training experience a plus
