Research Scientist And Academic Innovation Lead, Jameel World Education Lab

RESEARCH SCIENTIST AND ACADEMIC INNOVATION LEAD, JAMEEL WORLD EDUCATION LAB, Open Learning-Jameel World Education Lab (J-WEL), to develop and disseminate practical evidence-based knowledge that could transform learning worldwide. Will develop and execute an ambitious research, content, outreach, and convening agenda in partnership with the faculty director, staff, and collaborators. Topics may include learning science; new models linking classroom, project-based, and workplace learning; the role of technologies in teaching and learning; and pathways for reach, inclusion, and professional advancement for learners who otherwise lack access to a full suite of educational opportunities.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Ph.D. in education or related field; mastery of relevant techniques for creating knowledge (e.g., assessment of learning and learner impact; action research; implementation science; participatory methods; and grounded approaches to the design, development, and testing of frameworks, toolkits, and educational programs); interest in co-creating and sharing knowledge and working at the intersection of research and practice; track record in reaching scholarly and practitioner communities via workshops, journal publications, and conferences; knowledge of global higher education trends; expertise coordinating, supporting, and managing education research across multiple simultaneous projects and co-designing impactful events and learning experiences; and proven project management skills.
