Innovation Research Lead Jobs

Strong leadership skills with experience defining new processes and best practices.

Strong data analysis and data visualization experience, ideally with modeling real-world events and creating reports.

Experience with programming languages such as R, Python, or STATA.

Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets, offer statistically sound conclusions, and identify opportunities for further research.

Experience (or familiarity with) with nonprofits, government agencies, or consulting firms.

The Research Lead has three primary responsibilities:

1+ years of people management experience

Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of The Athletic user experience

Through research, inspire colleagues to uncover fresh opportunities and to build new product experiences grounded in user needs

Experience conducting research with online tools, including Qualtrics, UserTesting and dscout

Experience summarizing complex information and developing a compelling narrative

2+ years of research experience with editorial teams, or in sports journalism

Digital product development and management;

Strategic planning and program management;

People skills and experience required to work in highly dynamic, global, diverse and multicultural environment;

Communication skills that extend beyond basic power point and presentation skills to ability to create persuasive transformation narratives and great storytelling;

Contribute to internal and external communications for the team;

BS/BA in Business, Communications, Healthcare or related field required.

Deep knowledge and experience in educational technology, learning sciences, and/or innovation in education.

Initiative, time management skills, and proven ability to follow through with tasks and work independently.

Qualitative data analysis skills, including knowledge of qualitative data analysis software.

Quantitative data analysis skills, including knowledge of SPSS/SAS/R/Python.

Experience conducting educational research in PK-12 environments preferred.

Preparation of project proposals in collaboration with the project and personnel manager.

Experience with health equity or a related equity field, such as economic equity, educational equity, environmental equity.

Experience with population health issues.

Experience with quantitative data analysis.

Participate in health equity or other health innovation research projects.

Conduct qualitative data collection and analysis, such as interviews, focus groups, and participant observation.

Analyze qualitative and quantitative results and summarize findings into drafted narrative material for incorporation into research reports and recommendations.

Project management skills with demonstrated experience delivering projects on schedule, in scope, and within budget

Experience with portfolio management tools

Education And / Or Experience

Experience managing business processes and operations

Proven ability to define, distill, and manage complex operations

Experience in tech scouting and a deep knowledge of startups and technology trends.

Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.

At least 3 years experience as a research/investment analyst.

Strong qualitative research skills to develop insights, prepare analyses, and present to clients.

Excellent written and presentation skills in English are a must.

A quick learner and ability to work independently.

Solid planning, organizational, executional and time management skills

Strong project management skills and proven ability to work with cross-functional teams

The following combination of education and experience is required for this position.

Directly manages a team of professional level product developers to include technical guidance, project and business advisement and career development.

Bachelor’s degree in food science or closely related field with at least 7-8 years of relevant progressive experience.

Master’s degree in food science or closely related field with at least 5 years of relevant progressive experience.

Strong organizational, problem solving, resources management and time management skills.

8-10 years of related managerial experience

Experience in design and manufacturing of commercial appliance with demonstrated ability to manage product development projects.

Manage execution and communication of Agile Technology Development Processes, Design and Prototype Build Sprints to advance company learnings and strategic planning.

Facilitate Global Patent Workshop Events and Manage IP Portfolio processing with Rheem Legal to ensure timely protection of company assets.

Strong team building skills with excellent communications skills.

• Previous experience driving user research within an agile product development environment

• Experience using digital research platforms (dscout, UserTesting)
