Job Description
Overview:
The High Meadows Environmental Institute (HMEI) seeks an energetic individual to provide research assistance. The Research Associate will provide research support for several different projects related to plant pathogens and infectious disease more generally.
Responsibilities:
Research-related tasks will include coordinating and leading fieldwork at Rocky Mountain Biological Station, maintaining database and meta data associated with research, statistical analysis and write-ups, literature reviews, data cleaning and analysis, and manuscript preparation along with some administrative support including scheduling meetings, travel. We seek applicants with backgrounds in global/public health, epidemiology, economics, molecular biology, computer science, and/or natural sciences.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have BA/BS. We seek applicants with backgrounds in global/public health, epidemiology, economics, molecular biology, computer science, and/or natural sciences. We especially seek individuals with relevant field work experience. Some experience with programming using ArcGIS and/or R/STATA is necessary and programming experience in other languages including C/C++, SQL, or Python is a plus. Applicants must be well organized, attentive to detail, and able to work independently.
