The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator will work closely with the study principal investigator on mixed methods studies of the social and structural determinants of maternal and reproductive health equity. The Project Coordinator will coordinate study activities that involve interacting with patients, providers, community representatives and health worker and other healthcare personnel, contribute to qualitative data collection, analysis, reporting of results/publishing manuscripts, supervise research assistant(s) as needed, and oversee logistical tasks (e.g. Human Subjects approval) necessary to accomplish the aims and needs of grant funded research. Additionally, there are opportunities to contribute to manuscript writing.
Responsibilities
Monitor achievement of grant implementation milestones, coordinate team activities, and lead and create agendas for meetings – 10%.
Prepare documents related to research activities, including funding agency reports, study protocols, Data Use Agreements and other data governance, and IRB submissions – 5%
Participate in recruitment of study participants and administration of surveys/other study instruments; manage Community Advisory Board preparation and lead meetings, supervise and train other research staff performing recruitment and data collection – 30%
Moderate focus groups and conduct in-depth interviews – 20%
Oversee coding and preparations for qualitative interviews and transcriptions; data entry; develop coding instructions; train research assistants in qualitative coding procedures; Perform qualitative data analysis, interpretation, and reporting of results (manuscripts, presentations, posters) – 15%
Assist with literature reviews, background research, and writing of grants and manuscripts, conference abstracts and other submissions – 10%
Participate in and take the lead on drafting and disseminating public-facing research findings (e.g., one-pagers, infographics, blog posts, websites, etc). – 5%
Perform other related administrative duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested – 5%
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree is required,
Experience coordinating project activities
Experience conducting focus groups and leading in-depth interviews,
Proficient in qualitative data analysis in Dedoose software
Superior communication skills and experience in writing academic manuscripts
Able to make and carry out decisions independently, dedicated to team building and collaboration, and collaborate and manage partnerships with a range of stakeholders.
Have excellent interpersonal, organizational, record-keeping, writing, and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills, accuracy, and attention to detail, as well as a self-motivated work style, establish priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.
Ability to document procedure, and to write reports and operational guidelines.
Ability to exercise initiative and judgment and demonstrate professionalism and flexibility.
Ability to manage multiple competing tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, as well as able to assume progressively more responsibility for project tasks and work independently without close supervision.
Someone comfortable asking questions and eager to learn.
