A research associate/lab manager position is available in the Plant Biotech lab in the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. The applicant will conduct independent research projects in the fields of tomato gene editing, and also have the opportunity to work with computer science group to develop AI technology for plant phenotyping.
Other responsibilities:
1) Preparing manuscripts for his/her research projects. One first-author publication/year is expected.
2) Helping undergraduate and graduate students conduct their research projects and reviewing their thesis/dissertation;
3) Management of the lab procurements and inventories.

Minimum Qualifications
Master or Ph.D. degree in Agriculture or Biotechnology or Biology/computing biology or related fields. Written and communication skills with record of publications in professional journal. Working experiences in wet-lab techniques, large genome/proteome data analysis. Working experiences on tomatoes, and single cell-type genomics and proteomics are preferred. The applicant must have vehicle and valid driver license.
