This position offers an exciting opportunity join a close knit, experienced team of scientists developing new technologies and discovering new therapeutic molecules The ideal candidate should have a strong background in molecular biology and protein biochemistry. The candidate will be engaged in molecular cloning, protein expression, protein purification, and in vitro biochemistry assays. Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with bacterial or mammalian expression systems and be able to work independently. Your responsibilities

·Clone synthesized DNA fragments into shuttle vectors using Infusion, HiFi DNA Assembly, or DNA ligase.

·Digest shuttle vectors with restriction enzymes and recover DNA from electrophoresis gels.

·Transform bacteria with multiple DNA samples and prepare plasmids for sequencing.

·Extract DNA plasmids from bacterial culture using low-endo mini- and medi-prep kits.

·Produce novel proteins in bacteria using bacterial vectors by IPTG induction methods.

·Prepare bacterial peripheral periplasm extract or refold proteins from inclusion bodies.

·Perform RNA isolation from hybridoma cells and run RT-PCR for cloning VH/VL genes.

·Perform serum-free expiCHO cell transfection for expressing recombinant antibodies and IgG fusion proteins.

·Purify proteins from bacterial extracts or cell culture supernatants using Ni-NTA, Protein A/G, MabSelect resin.

·Analyze purified proteins using SDS-PAGE, western blot, or ELISA.

·Record experiments and data in electronic lab notebook.

Qualifications

1.Bachelors with 5+ years or masters with 3+ years of experience in a related field (e.g., molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology).

2.Strong hands-on experience with molecule cloning, protein expression and purification techniques (e.g., DNA assembly, RT-PCR, bacterial expression, IPTG induction, Ni-NTA purification techniques).

4.Knowledge of protein purification methods and chromatography techniques (e.g., Ni-NTA sepharose, Protein A/G resin, spin columns).

5.Familiarity with protein characterization techniques, such as SDS-PAGE, western blotting, and ELISA.

6.Experience with data analysis and scientific software tools, such as Snapgene, Prism.

7.Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
