Our client, a leading Pharmaceutical company in South San Francisco, CA, is looking for a Research Associate- Downstream Process Development to be part of their gene therapy drug development effort.



Required Skills:

  • Industry experience preferred
  • Familiarity with routine in-process analytics to support process development (e.g., DNA concentration, DNA purity, endotoxin)
  • Expertise in low and large-scale DNA production technologies
  • Broad technical experience in molecular biology and nucleic acid purification process development.
  • Bachelor's degree in the biological sciences (e.g. Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related field
  • 1-3 years of relevant postgraduate research experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Present information and data in both written and verbal form
  • Independently execute experiments to develop efficient, effective downstream purification processes for DNA gene therapy vectors
  • Documents experimental and process data.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate experimental outcomes to internal teams and senior management.
  • Applies engineering principles, scientific knowledge, and critical thinking to identify problems and develop solutions.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and the development and implementation of new technology.
