Research Scientist Jobs

Our San Francisco Bay Area client is recruiting for a Research Scientist to join their growing team.

Summary:

• Renowned biotechnology company is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join the Cancer Immunology department. You will join the cancer vaccine team and work in a high collaborative environment to develop the next generation RNA and DNA vaccine platforms. This position requires a strong immunology background and will involve independently conceiving, performing and analyzing preclinical studies aimed at elucidating the mechanism of action of vaccine platforms and characterizing determinants of effective anti-tumor T cell immunity.

Responsibilities:

• This is a hands on position and the candidate is expected to adapt to evolving project needs and work effectively in both independent and team-based research environments.
• In charge of independently conceiving, designing, implementing and reporting the findings of in vitro and in vivo studies and make innovative intellectual contributions to advance the program.
• Meticulous record keeping and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate across a cross-functional team.

Qualifications:

• Must be familiar with immunological principles and techniques including primary cell isolation, cell culture and flow cytometry.
• Strongest consideration will be given to candidates with a PhD in immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry.
• Expertise in mRNA or DNA therapy, molecular biology, and innate sense of nucleic acids is highly deired.
• The ideal candidate will have a background in cellular immunology, vaccinology and RNA or DNA therapy.

Pay Scale:

• $62.07 to $118.85 per hour
