Day to Day:
In this fast-paced position, you will respond to calls from members and prospective members, answering questions regarding purchasing or changing health plan coverage for individuals and families.As a sales representative, you will be expected to identify health coverage needs, present appropriate plan options and actively enroll prospective members.
Accountabilities:
*Assist with incoming prospective member calls regarding Medicare or Individual Commercial Products
*Determine coverage needs in a prompt, professional and customer friendly manner.
*Proactively recommend appropriate health plan coverage options and create coverage proposals.
*Follow up by phone with potential applicants to answer additional questions.
*Follow HealthPartners' procedures for documenting conversations and tracking contacts in CRM system.
*Comply with all Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), State of Minnesota, and departmental policies and procedures.
*Meets and exceeds specified sales goals for Medicare and/or individual product new member sales.
*Meet benchmarks for call metrics (number of calls answered, average call time, etc.)
*Schedule adherence
Schedule varies.Full-time, flexibility for evenings and occasional weekends required.
Required Skills and Experience:
*Active insurance license (or recently licensed) in home state.
*Minimum of one-year of consultative sales or service experience working in the insurance industry.
*Experience working with people on the phone, preferably in a "call center" setting.
*Excellent customer service and telephone skills.
*Advanced proficiency and experience with multiple software systems/platforms.
- Must live in IA, MN, ND, SD or WI
Hourly wage as well as bonus incentive plan provided for each sale
