Job Description

Role

Develops and maintains a strong retail dealer network to meet and exceed corporate and district sales objectives for retail growth, increasing market share and upgrading the dealer network while projecting a professional image on behalf of Piaggio Group Americas, Inc.

Duties

- Meets and exceeds corporate and district sales objectives as established by Piaggio Management.

- Assists dealers in establishing and managing wholesale and retail sales objectives for each dealer. Involved with closing the sale, wholesale and retail objectives, understanding and communicating the value of all Piaggio products to overall business profitability.

- Manages the day-to-day territory with respect to sales and customer service. This includes: retail sales and merchandising, training, customer service, trade show coordination and participation, HQ/local dealer communications, direct marketing, and customer base maintenance and development

- Identifies and prioritizes open points; conducts market output analysis and selects markets.

- Regularly visits and maintains an active dealer network to ensure sales goals are met.

- Develops, coordinates, and conducts sell-in presentations.

- Dealer Development: evaluates and ranks multiple prospects in the dealer selection process, completes/submits and reviews the prospect business plan.

- Conducts RSM Business plan, including assessments, visits, reviews and training, to support in the dealer start up.

- Provides excellent customer service to achieve high customer service index (CSI) expectations and works with dealers to improve dealer CSI.

- Conducts product demos for prospective customers and dealers.

- Works with Logistics, Finance to troubleshoot dealer credit issues and work through product allocation, approvals and shipments.

- Understands and assists dealers with utilization of the dealer extranet website.

- Understands state and federal laws and regulations applicable to the powersports and motorcycle industry and dealer distribution channels (appointment and dealer terminations).

- Effectively utilizes key territory management resources in new dealer procurement efforts and upgrading the dealer network to obtain retail growth goals and increase market share.

- Encourages dealers to participate in all service schools, programs and sales training opportunities.

- Promotes financially stable dealer network and responds to dealer needs.

- Reports problems, status, and attitudes of dealer network to Piaggio Management.

- Assists in planning & set-up and participates in marketing shows, dealer shows, exhibits and displays.

Qualifications

·Bachelor ‘s Degree in Business, Communications or related field

·Proficient with Microsoft office applications in particular Excel, internet usage

·Powersport and/or Automotive industry experience not necessary

·US work authorization required

Additional Elements

·Regional Sales Manager will report directly to the National Sales Manager
