As a Regional Sales Manager, you take pride in representing Baxter and our products. Your keen understanding of our deep portfolio of products and belief in the value and quality they provide to patients fuels your confidence. Our customers trust you and appreciate your knowledge and curiosity when finding solutions to meet their needs. You enjoy being on location, forming relationships, and establishing trust with the doctors and nurses who use Baxter solutions every day.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable revenue and market share growth for the Surgical Solutions portfolio in an assigned geographic territory and hospitals for our combined product line. You will provide sales leadership to a team of field sales reps, and expected to build a successful, collaborative team. This leader is accountable for understanding the market dynamics and competition and leading facilitating the development of market specific strategies with robust tactical implementation plans. You establish individual rep sales targets, supervises attainment, mentors for performance, and proactively addresses issues. You are expected to be “hands on” in the field with your team members actively coaching for high performance, developing customer relationships, and personally assisting with deals in key strategic accounts. You may be asked to personally handle C-Suite IDN relationships within the respective geography.

What you'll be doing
- Effectively define and communicate sales targets by proactively leading performance against targets. Coaching team members on appropriate sales process, tactics, pricing, deal structure, use of CRM, customer and financial data.
- Build and manage relationships with major hospital systems, IDNs.
- You will recruit, develop, lead, and motivate a successful team of sales professionals.
- You develop annual and quarterly sales strategies where you plan for assigned areas to improve profitable revenue growth in alignment with company strategy and customer needs.
- Performs regular field travel to coach team members and understand customer needs and dynamics of the market.
- Actively participate in monthly operational planning processes, business reviews, and provides accurate forecasts to review and adjust against P&L goals.
- Build and maintain a collaborative, performance-based culture, consistent with the Baxter commitment, and focused on achieving profitable revenue growth.
- Cultivates effective relationships among colleagues across business units, and functions optimizing profitability and customer happiness.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required. MBA is preferred.
- Works smoothly across a matrix organization, proactively developing and handling collaborative relationships with colleagues across business units and functions.
- Expertise in capital product sales process from initial planning for potential opportunity to structuring and closing deals.
- Strong business acumen with a shown understanding of business financials. The ability to optimally structure the financial aspects of a sales package, and ability to define the economic benefits of the products to the care providers and administrative personnel.
- Effective planning and program management skills. Strong skills at defining strategies and plans to drive growth in defined markets.
- Over 8 years of sales experience with at least 3 years of selling capital equipment in the healthcare space.
- Proven experience in planning, forecasting and sales resources deployment.
- Outstanding communication skills is required. Listens well, displays excellent written and oral communication, delivers presentations with impact. Executive level communication a must.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $128,000 to $252,000 plus a commission target, and equity target. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
