Job Description
The Director of Community Management will be responsible for leading an assigned group of Community Association Managers within the FYVE portfolio and ensuring they are attaining the company’s customer service, operational and financial goals. This person will report directly to the Business Unit Leader and will support Broward or Dade operations.


Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Manage the budgeting process and ongoing budget compliance within the region; consult with senior management with respect to planning and monitoring of variances.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training of new personnel within their assigned portfolio. Supervises and evaluates the work of all assigned personnel.
  • Champions the company’s culture and not only has full knowledge but also believes in the company’s values
  • Complies with all policies and procedures established by FYVE
  • Collaborate with Board Members and management to establish short- and long-term business plans for the communities in your portfolio
  • Monitors the status of the new communities and operating budgets
  • Responsible for reviewing CCR and Open Work orders with Community Managers
  • Maintain a current understanding of the physical condition and market position of every community within the region, as well as the state of resident relations and employee performance.
  • Works with Property Managers and the Accounting Teams on property turnover and transition from competitors
  • Works with Accounting Manager on preparing annual budgets, rate setting, proposed leasing specials, and analyzing rents and leasing velocity throughout the leasing season
  • Reviews and understands market trends within their market
  • Develop future leaders of the company
  • Holds bi-weekly one-ones with each direct report
  • Cooperates in the completion of any other tasks that may be requested by the Senior Management
  • Constantly seeks to identify strategies for increasing company income and reducing company expenses.
  • Ensures weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports are accurate and submitted on time
  • Adheres to FYVE standards when it comes to property presentation and works with the Maintenance Teams to ensure properties are well maintained
  • Assumes overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of their sites within their assigned portfolio

Preferred Education And Experience


  • Association Management experience is required
  • At least 7 years of Property Management experience
  • College degree preferred
  • While 5 years in a Manager or higher role is preferred, candidate must have at least 3 years experience working in such capacity
  • Florida CAM License Required
