What you'll do

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to our business and people business partners, owning the entire recruiting and onboarding process with speed, innovation and experience at the forefront
  • Excel in delivering an elevated customer service model, process ownership and accountability, and a bias for action with urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Lead in the Executive Recruitment and Onboarding space of American Airlines; bring your expertise, network, and experience to source, assess, recruit, and onboard top talent from around the world
  • Advise hiring executives and people business partners on best practices, industry trends, practical tips and legal considerations for interviews, selections and feedback
  • Explore and support business contracts, critical partnerships, industry conferences and/or other opportunities to drive the business forward
  • Collaborate with several stakeholders in the People department, including but not limited to People Business Partner, Compensation, Talent Management, Benefits, Travel and IT Support
  • Collaborate, consult and align on approach, strategy and expectations with key stakeholders for overall recruiting and onboarding process, experience, expectations and performance metrics

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time
  • 5+ years experience executive recruiting and onboarding
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Experience with a large, global brand in fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Experience in leadership development, talent management, and/or succession planning
  • Master’s business administration, human resources or other related field

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Executive presence, ability to establish credibility and forge partnerships at executive level
  • Ability to quickly synthesize and apply a vision into meaningful next steps
  • Certifications in Executive search, recruiting, development or similar
  • Proficient in excel, word, and outlook; proven experience with powerpoint presentations
  • Knowledge of SuccessFactors or other large enterprise ATS systems
  • Knowledge of employment law, corporate recruitment practices, including different interview techniques
  • Strategic influence and capability underpinned by a service mindset and bias for action
  • A bias for structure and continuous improvement with a heightened attention to detail
  • Critical decision making; ability to effectively navigate uncertainty and escalate if/when necessary
  • Thrives in a super dynamic, fast paced, high pressure environments with little room for error
