Sharkey’s Franchising Company (a division of Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids International)


The Recruiter/ Talent Acquisition Coordinator responsibilities include attracting candidates, evaluating resumes, scheduling interviews, and managing the hiring process. The Recruiter/ Talent Acquisition Coordinator should possess strong communication skills and demonstrate industry knowledge in sourcing potential candidates.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and attend our company’s regional and national meetings as necessary.
  • Expert in job platforms, such as Indeed, along with third party Applicant Tracking System.
  • Ability to respond quickly, and occasionally in evenings or weekends.
  • Highly organized and proficient in record keeping and tracking.
  • Must be able to think strategically and prioritize.
  • Possess an understanding of salon positions and experience working with many owners.
  • Ability to follow-thru candidate flow with the salon owners’ or their designates.

QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS:

  • Track key performance metrics evaluating the effectiveness of the company's talent acquisition strategies to enable continuous improvement and ensure the recruitment efforts are aligned with the company's goals and projected growth.
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current recruitment process and identify immediate areas for improvement.
  • Develop long-term recruitment strategies aligned with the company's growth plans. This includes developing plans to meet the company's workforce needs, forecasting hiring needs, identifying key talent markets, and implementing strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop a strategic recruitment plan that encompasses targeted sourcing strategies, employer branding initiatives, and effective candidate assessment methods.
  • Collaborate closely with salon owners and corporate staff to understand the needs of each salon location.
  • This is a work from home position.
  • Create efficient systems and processes to support salon owners in publishing job ads, promptly responding to candidates, and ensuring compliance with HR laws.
  • Holds a comprehensive understanding of HR laws and regulations to develop training material and coach salons owners on interviewing techniques in accordance with legal requirements. This includes establishing and promoting best practices for recruitment, including diversity and inclusion strategies, to ensure the company attracts a wide range of qualified candidates.
  • Collaborate with salon owners to create an onboarding program that ensures new hires are effectively integrated into the company supporting the brand standards and company’s vision and initiatives.
  • Must have proven diplomacy, confidentiality, inter-personal skills, and the capacity to work with salon owners.
