Job Details
- Take and relay messages to appropriate staff
- Greet guests and clients entering the facility and issues visitor badges after confidentiality forms are signed
- Answer telephone, screen, and direct calls
- Direct persons to correct destination
- Ability to work on computers for periods of time
- Knowledgeable on relevant software applications
- Proficient on customer service principles and practices
- Physical Demands:
- Basic knowledge of administrative, clerical procedures and using office equipment
- Basic knowledge of chemical dependency and psychological disorders
- Ability to communicate with others by telephone, email, and personal interaction.
- Must be flexible in work hours in order to meet facility needs
- Must maintain self-control in volatile or hostile situations, such as when verbally or physically confronted
- Normal demands associated with an office environment
- Must be able to set therapeutic limits and maintain therapeutic distance with clients and maintain therapeutic boundaries with clients during treatment and after discharge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to address and prioritize multiple task demands within established time frames
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit
- Office environment with moderate noise level
- Work Environment:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience working in a mental health/substance abuse facility helpful
- Minimum of at least 1 year experience in an office environment
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Organized and able to multi-task
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
