ABOUT THE SCHOOL/DEPARTMENT
The Jeffco Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) department provides Jeffco students with access to healthy and nutritious meals to support their learning. Each year, the FNS team serves approximately 4.5 million lunch meals, 1 million breakfast meals, and generates about $5.5 million in a la carte sales. The FNS team consists of over 400 employees who serve our students in more than 140 full-service kitchens and a central warehouse. FNS administers many programs, including the National School Lunch and Breakfast programs, Afterschool Snacks, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable programs and Summer Food Service Programs. Hourly Rate: $21.76, Annual Rate: $45,269.29 Effective as of: 08-16-2022
**Annual salary noted above is based on an 8 hour day and full days worked calendar. Any position that is less than a full FTE/8 hours per day or late start will be prorated accordingly.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT
The successful new hire or rehired candidate will be responsible to complete and incur the fingerprinting and processing fee of $54.50 through an appropriate fingerprinting vendor and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, within 48 hours of offer acceptance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
SUMMARY Position is responsible for warehouse transportation scheduling; reconciling all purchase orders for FNS; creating monthly reports; keeping accurate records of all food warehouse receipts; tracking and monitoring FNS fleet vehicles; and maintaining department data records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Work directly with vendors to schedule deliveries for FNS Warehouse. Track department deliveries from vendors and suppliers and communicate department needs when deliveries are delayed or do not arrive. Retrieve purchase order data; create and maintain order files; and generate, update and manage t food purchase orders.
Receive all food receipts on-line (in PrimeroEdge and district financial software system) that enter the food warehouse, and audit invoices and information for accuracy. Position is frequently required to prepare warehouse receiving reports for vendors upon arrival of delivery trucks.
Create and assemble computerized receiving reports for food service receipts, audit reports for accuracy, and problem solve errors.
Assemble FNS vendor payment packets for processing and problem solve with vendors over discrepancies.
Fulfill office supply order requests for 130 kitchens sites and work directly with department members to ensure order accuracy.
Answer phones calls and answer questions from FNS staff, other District staff, and government agencies.
Audit produce order confirmation reports, match reports with appropriate purchase orders, and transmit report data to the Administration office. Assist with software inventory input at the end of each month.
Oversee use and care of FNS fleet vehicles. Track emissions test requirements, and schedule regulatory testing and repairs as needed. Work directly with Fleet Services to maintain fleet records, to include registration and plates. Maintain daily logs for FNS fleet vehicles and track regular use and keys.
Monitor external cameras on a daily basis and track daily visitors to department building. Good customer service skills, and knowledge of department events required at all times.
Work as a team member on various department projects.
Assist Manager of Facilities and Equipment with various administrative tasks, to include processing invoices for requisitions/purchase orders and working directly with vendors to problem solve discrepancies.
Update and maintain district software food item database as needed. Assemble needed adjustment data for computer entry.
Complete supply requisition to access items in main warehouse.
This position will require occasional assistance with emergency site orders and may require pulling warehouse inventory.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High school diploma/GED required or equivalent vocational school.
EXPERIENCE: 2 years' and up to and including 3 years' experience in the area of computers and bookkeeping/accounting skills.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & EQUIPMENT: Requires oral communication, basic writing, interpersonal, phone etiquette, advanced computer skills, office software, general office equipment, and knowledge of accounting functions. Requires requisite financial software skills 2 months from hire. May be required to take District Skills Assessment test as part of the application process.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS: None required.
SUPERVISION/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITY: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This position serves as a technical resource on a specific functional area such as ordering and tracking orders for the Food Service Warehouse. This position is recognized as a departmental resource in a specialty area, operational process, field or program.
CONTACTS: Daily contact with persons within/outside department/building, including outside vendors.
SAFETY TO SELF AND OTHERS: High exposure of self to repetitive motion injuries due to key boarding. Low exposure of self to cuts and bruises due to typical office accidents.

JUDGMENT AND DECISION MAKING: Decisions are made in collaboration with the Executive Director, Director, Procurement Coordinator and other Food Service personnel. Requires independent thinking and problem solving with vendors on inventory, pricing, and receiving issues. Requires judgment, decision making, and analytical skills to determine the manner, resources, and operational steps to properly and accurately complete work within established standards. Decision making is guided by Food and Nutrition Services department, FDA, District Policies, and procedures. Errors in decision making could result in inaccurate product availability reports would affect decisions and actions of other Food and Nutrition Services staff. An inventory adjustment would then be needed for correct stock, causing a loss of confidence in the department. Supervisor is occasionally involved in decision making.
DIVERSITY OF DUTIES: Duties are somewhat diversified but within specialized field or program. Work requires some cross training in operational procedures or fundamental technical applications. Duties and actions require teamwork.
