Company Overview


The Primal Pet Group includes manufacturers of fully prepared, human-grade raw foods, treats, and supplements for dogs and cats. The Abilene Primal Pet Group was founded with the goal of improving the quality of life and overall health and happiness of pets through wholesome raw foods that mimic the diet of animals in the wild. We are looking for reliable, motivated, pet companions to join our fast-paced, growing Primal Pet Team!


SCHECULE


Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Schedules are at minimum 8 hours shifts or more. Daily or Saturday overtime is required as needed and is mandatory.


Summary


The Inventory Coordinator will support the Warehouse department, including Inventory, Production Scheduling, Procurement, and Warehouses (Shipping and Receiving within all Warehouses) while ensuring order execution guidelines are followed for material selection, ensuring accuracy assignment of customer promise dates. Oversees inventory flow to our facilities, ensuring our ability to execute inventory allocation on time while minimizing our inventory investment and overall customer service.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Maintain minimum, maximum, and reorder points physically as well as in ERP for Packaging materials (bags, sheer, etc.), Production and Supply Chain PPE (hair nets, beard nets, gloves, etc.), non-consumables (aprons, knives, gloves, etc.)
  • Implement and maintain Warehouse SOPs as they relate to inventory and ERP.
  • Report, monitor, and review daily inventory adjustments and changes.
  • Tracks, reports, and processes inventory issues related to suppliers' work to eliminate supplier-related inventory issues. Experience with order maintenance to eliminate line downtime due to inventory availability issues.
  • Assist the Supply Chain department as a backup driver when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Punctual and Regular Attendance Required.
  • Manage and maintain Supplement inventories.
  • Complying with GMPs, HACCP, and other Food Safety, quality, and security guidelines and strictly adhering to all Primal Pet Foods specifications
  • Assist with or coordinate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly physical and perpetual cycle counting efforts.
  • Act as the liaison to other departments for product changes, quality, and other inventory-related issues.
  • Assist in the Traffic department as a backup traffic clerk when necessary
  • Maintain accurate entries into ERP for inventory entries and adjustments
  • Resolve inventory issues/discrepancies, problem orders, and intercompany transfer issues.
  • Coordinates inventory efficiencies receipt and movement of materials with a third party and/or offsite warehouse and assists with projects as needed.
  • Manage and maintain 22 Series inventories as well as oversight of staging.
  • Report on inventory activities, trends, changes, process shorts report, and create variance analysis.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE


  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Inventory, warehouse/distribution center environment preferred.
  • Manufacturing knowledge and understanding of yields, Inventory efficiencies, and operations procedures.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to vendors, customers, carriers, and across the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize and follow through to achieve results and meet deadlines to meet the needs of the business.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite – (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) especially in Microsoft Excel
  • Fishbowl Inventory software or similar ERP software experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required. BA/BS in a related field preferred.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


Must be able to achieve Forklift certification.
