Radiography Technologist Jobs

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Radiography Technologist to join our medical imaging team. As a General Radiography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing various diagnostic imaging procedures using X-rays to assist in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced medical environment.
Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging studies, patient history, and any additional pertinent information.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other medical professionals to discuss and interpret imaging results.
• Position patients properly and ensure their comfort and safety during the imaging process.
• Provide appropriate patient care, addressing concerns, explaining procedures, and ensuring a supportive and compassionate environment.
• Follow established protocols and guidelines to obtain clear and accurate images while minimizing radiation exposure to patients and staff.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, including equipment quality checks, image quality assessments, and documentation.
• Stay updated with advancements in radiographic techniques, equipment, and industry standards through continuous education and professional development.
• Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, to capture images of patients' internal body structures.
• Review and assess obtained images for clarity, quality, and diagnostic usefulness.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, including X-ray machines, ensuring optimal functionality and safety standards.

Requirements

• Knowledge: Solid understanding of radiographic techniques, positioning, and imaging protocols.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in operating radiographic equipment and image processing software.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to follow precise instructions and ensure accuracy in capturing and assessing images.
• Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to troubleshoot technical issues and obtain optimal imaging results.
• Licensure: Maintain a current state license or registration as required by the relevant regulatory authority.
• Experience: Previous experience in general radiography is preferred, but newly certified technologists will also be considered.
• Compassion and Empathy: Display a caring and empathetic attitude towards patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the imaging process.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, handling multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, medical staff, and colleagues.
• Certification: Possess a valid certification from an accredited program as a General Radiography Technologist.
• Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory and safety guidelines, maintaining patient confidentiality and data privacy.
