Radiography Technologist Jobs

Completes documentation for entry into the centralized maintenance management system

Must be able to assemble facts from various areas, analyze data, and provide informed recommendations to management

Non-Destructive Evaluation Level II certification in line with ASNT TC-1A/NAS-410 guidance in radiography (RT)

2+ years of experience as a level II non-destructive evaluation/testing inspector

Radiation safety training/certification with IRRSP X-ray card

3+ months of experience performing digital radiography

Computed or direct digital certification

Operational experience of utilizing digital radiography systems

Knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and other computer skills.

Bachelor’s degree from an institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE).

Three (3) years of clinical experience in diagnostic radiography.

One (1) year of documented experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited Radiography program preferred.

Knowledge of course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.

Possess the academic and professional qualifications for their teaching assignment.

Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.

Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.

Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure and utilizes appropriate exam codes.

RADIATION PROTECTION: Provides appropriate radiation protection for self and others during all imaging and therapeutic procedures.

PATIENT POSITIONING AND PROCEDURES: Performs imaging procedures on all anatomical areas of the body.

IMAGE PRODUCTION, ANALYSIS AND ARCHIVAL: Applies appropriate imaging factors, conducts image analysis and utilizes archival techniques.

Knowledge of radiological procedures (preferred)

Stay updated with advancements in radiographic techniques, equipment, and industry standards through continuous education and professional development.

Certification: Possess a valid certification from an accredited program as a General Radiography Technologist.

Experience: Previous experience in general radiography is preferred, but newly certified technologists will also be considered.

Knowledge: Solid understanding of radiographic techniques, positioning, and imaging protocols.

Technical Skills: Proficient in operating radiographic equipment and image processing software.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, medical staff, and colleagues.
