Salary: $37 to $42 an hour

Our experienced staff of board-certified radiologists, technologists and support personnel are committed to providing the most accurate, safe, timely and caring medical imaging and interventional radiology services. We are looking for an X-Ray Technologist to join the team! The X-Ray Technologist will be responsible for adhering to the American Society of Radiologic Technologists’ Code of Ethics. This will be achieved through collaboration with the entire IHS team, our referring community, and our patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Monitor procedures to ensure adequate quality control of images. Interpret images using computer-aided detection or diagnosis systems.
- Responsible to review patient orders image requests, and patient questions.
- Must finalize and post process all image procedures and prepare for review by other departments while completing the Single Patient flow.
- Will act as backup for other IHS departments as required.
- Makes learning and practicing of Lean principles a daily priority.
- Prepare comprehensive interpretive reports of findings. Perform or interpret the outcomes of diagnostic imaging procedures including magnetic resonance imaging.
- Evaluate medical information to determine patients' risk factors, such as allergies to contrast agents, or to make decisions regarding the appropriateness of procedures.
- Obtain patients' histories from electronic records, patient interviews, dictated reports, or by communicating with referring clinicians.
- Will be required to report any non-operable equipment and maintenance needs of imaging equipment to your supervisor.
- Hands-on engagement in understanding and applying Lean
- Perform interventional procedures such as image-guided biopsy, percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, transhepatic biliary drainage, and nephrostomy catheter placement.
- Perform image procedures while upholding IHS patient service quality standards.
- Establish or enforce standards for protection of patients or personnel.
- Confer with medical professionals regarding image-based diagnoses.
- Communicate examination results or diagnostic information to referring physicians, patients, or families
- Maintains an unrelenting focus on improvement and providing customer value
- Review or transmit images and information using picture archiving or communications systems.
- Document the performance, interpretation, or outcomes of all procedures performed.
- Daily prepare and respond to correspondence for unread exams, QA Notes and inquiry statuses.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and associate degree in radiologic sciences; preferred bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences
- Current ARRT, CPR, CRT license
- At least 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technologist
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and proficiency with MERGE and PACS systems is a plus.
