Hourly: $32.50 - $38.00 DOE

Location: Anaheim, CA

**Incumbent eligible for a $500 signing bonus payable after 6 months of continuous service **

Position Summary : This position is responsible for conducting analysis and experimentation on substances to support production efforts utilizing quantitative and qualitative analysis. The Analytical Technician will also utilize appropriate analytical methodologies and instrumentation to approve intermediate process materials to defined requirements in accordance with established procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times

• Raw materials sampling and shipping for shelf life extension.
• Performs intermediate, final products, raw materials and packages testing.
• Adheres to laboratory policies and procedures.
• Documents research projects.
• Provide support for pH Control functions as needed.
• Water sampling for external lab analysis.
• Conducts instrument performance verification and calibration.
• Provides instrument-based (HPLC and other instruments) analytical support for Production and customers.
• Assists with laboratory housekeeping.
• Provide support for Microbiology functions as needed.
• Orders supplies.
• Prepares reagents and performs solution standardizations.

Education and/or Experience:

• Education may be waived in lieu of experience.
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Minimum Associate's degree, Bachelor degree preferred, in Chemistry with 0-2 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Mathematical skills, ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, averages and ratios.

Language Skills: English proficiency required. Spanish is a plus.
