ABOUT FYI:
FYI (https://fyi.me) is an innovative new messaging and productivity app for creatives. Our goal is to be the ultimate collaboration tool for artists, content creators and professionals working in the creative fields. Based in Los Angeles, CA and founded by veterans in the tech and entertainment industry.
FYI is searching for interns to assist the product team with quality assurance (QA) testing for our IOS, iPad, Mac and Android apps. Ideal candidates will help to identify bugs within the app, contribute to bug reports, assist with troubleshooting issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Interns must be able to work in person at our office in Hollywood for 25-30 hours per week. Interns must be able to come in during regularly scheduled shifts that can happen between 10am-6pm, Mondays-Fridays.
This internship may last between 3-6 months, with flexible start and end date.
Responsibilities:
·Assist the product and engineering team in daily software testing, finding bugs and other issues, in order to maintain excellent product quality
·Use the FYI app and become knowledgeable in all its features
·Document issues and contribute to testing plans
·Learn how to use JIRA, Xcode and other tools to document and track software issues
·Attend team meetings or functions
·Be willing to help with other tasks as needed
Requirements:
·Must have access to an iPhone or Android phone for product testing
·High school degree or equivalent; enrolled in an accredited university/college program.
·Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·Self-directed and able to work independently if needed.
·Strong attention to detail.
·Analytical skills.
·Strong teamwork and collaboration mindset.
·Strong interest in technology, app or product development.
·Coding/engineering experience not required but helpful.
