Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Currently seeking Software QA Analysts for a global, premiere healthcare leader with a portfolio of life-changing technologies and products in diagnostics, medical devices, nutritionals and branded generic medicines.

This is an Onsite/Hybrid position in Alameda, CA ---- NOT a remote opportunity. W2 only considered – No C2C or 1099.

As a QA Analysts for wearable medical devices, you will be the quality champion, ensuring the creation of high-performing and secure systems. Your role will involve an entrepreneurial mindset, exploring various paths and edge cases in performance and security testing to establish a highly resilient system.

What you'll do:

• Conduct thorough testing for every feature developed by the team, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
• Design and publish meaningful metrics to support the creation and execution of automated testing frameworks.
• Strive to automate and maintain comprehensive test suites, continuously improving testing processes.
• Establish and manage defect workflows using automated testing tools.
• Understand the product vision and work closely with designers and product owners to translate their visions into effective tests.
• Blend automated and manual testing approaches to efficiently assess the system's functionality without compromising on quality.
• Partner with development teams to identify key areas of risk in new solutions.
• Collaborate with the technology team to run tests after deployment in production environments, guaranteeing quality assurance.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience as an exploratory or hands-on tester across multiple platforms and testing techniques.
• Proficient in manual acceptance testing at the story level and conducting exploratory and creative testing within fast-paced sprint cycles.
• Strong ability to discover hidden requirements, edge cases, and a proactive "desire to break" attitude.
• Familiarity with frameworks and tools such as BDD and Selenium, with the ability to code in JavaScript.
• Experience in implementing automated end-to-end tests.
• The ideal candidate will hold a Technical Degree coupled with relevant experience as a QA engineer, tester, analysts or similar.
