Quality Assurance Manager Jobs

EVONA are proud to be working with a company working with cutting-edge technology specializing in the manufacture of microwave devices for ground-based, airborne and satellite communications, industrial and medical equipment, and radar.

They are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager at their California location to monitor and improve the quality of our operational processes and outputs.

• Supervise and mentor various levels of quality professionals.
• Leadership in design and maintenance of Quality Management Objectives & Standards.
• Advise and develop Quality Management Systems reporting through periodic and ongoing communications.
• Develop programs for continued improvement of their business processes.
• Development and implementation of Quality Procedures necessary to insure product conformance to customer requirements and report non-conformances appropriately.
• Manage and administer their AS9100 Certification to include:
• Communicate topics of Technical/Quality Management significance to all levels and departments.

· Training Management

· Audits Management

· Non-Conformance

· Corrective/Preventive Actions

· Related Activities, AS 9100 and contract requirements

· Maintenance, Measurement & Monitoring and data collection

· Quality Non-conformances & Product Defect Tracking

• Manage training programs, as required, for quality awareness, effectiveness improvement, and customer satisfaction.
• Review contractual quality requirements and assure compliance via plan implementation..
• Provide analysis and recommendations for strategic improvement plans, operating improvements and work methods improvement.
• Provide customer interface and coordinate inter-departmental activities necessary to resolve, local and field quality and reliability issues.
• Analyze quality trends and is accountable for assuring a multidiscipline approach to defect prevention and/or correction. This includes establishment and maintenance of an effective closed loop corrective action system.

Qualifications:

• Leadership ability on design, maintenance and improvement of Quality Management Systems.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and 6-9 years of progressive management experience in manufacturing environment, including a background in engineering, quality and manufacturing.
• Skilled in reliability and maintainability programs in accordance with governing standards and specifications.
• Technical skills with mechanical and electrical comprehension.
• Working knowledge of QA methodologies, SPC, Process Mapping, FMEA, Control Plans, etc.
• Product knowledge with ability to analyze problems and to establish and/or Manage corrective action.
• Management ability to develop strategic business initiatives in Quality Management and related areas.
• Understanding in all phases of metrology, inspection, and test methods.
• Budget planning and organizational controls.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Lean Six Sigma experience a plus.
• ASQ Certification (CQM, CMGR/OE, CQE or CQA) is an asset.
