Job summary
This is a supervisor position for the Production test group. This position requires the knowledge and possible carrying out of the duties of the Level 1 through 4 Production Test Technicians. The responsibilities at this level include planning and scheduling daily production testing, giving department status presentations, writing employee performance appraisals, and plan and implement Test method/process improvements.
Responsibilities:
Train Technicians on how to perform specific job duties.
Duties require designing and developing new test stations and equipment for production and Validation testing on new product liines or for test process improvements.Position requires the research and creation of proper paperwork necessary to purchase equipment and parts from outside suppliers for the TQC department.
Duties include maintaining production test equipment and software.
Knowledge of the test department power grid is required.
Duties require the development of production test specifications and procedures on products developed within the plant.
Responsibilities require that yearly planning for work load and other projects be done prior to each new fiscal year.
Contact suppliers of part problems.
Duties include the review, audit, reporting, approving/disapproving or new Suppliers (traveling is involved).Knowledge of IPC standards and UL requirements are required at this position.
Knowledge, maintain, and development of ISO procedures and Work Instructions is required.
Perform internal audits on TIC Work Instructions or Procedures and write reports on findings.
General equipment up keep including: Maintaining a clean and neat work area. Employee will be personally responsible for all TIC issued hand tools (including monetary or physical replacement). TIC power control equipment requires scheduled maintenance of which all users are responsible to maintain.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and leading team members on the use 5S, equipment, and resources; Coach team members to ensure all environmental health safety polices are followed
Perform reporting and investigation on all environmental and safety incidents, driving to root cause and permanent resolution.
Travel: Up to 115% to 25%%"

Minimum Experience:
6+ years of Quality Control & Testing experience in a manufacturing setting or have shown a mastery of the duties set forth at all technician levels.
Extensive understanding and knowledge related to the operation, programming, diagnosis and troubleshooting of both low and medium voltage variable frequency drives (VFD)
2 years of related work experience with reference.
Experience with hand tools and electrical test equipment is a plus.
Minimum Education:
2-year college degree completed. Technical or Engineering degree preferred.
Equivalent military experience/training is acceptable.
Successful completion of a nationally recognized electronics technician certification can be used in lieu of completing a 2-year degree.
