Key Performance Objectives (not an all-inclusive list of duties/expectations)

• Manage non-compliance reports, action items, and punch lists; (Internal, General Contractors, Third Party Consultants and Owner / Architects).
• Participate in the construction, installation and testing of project mock-ups.
• Demonstrate good judgment in decision-making, input, and issue escalation; facilitate problem solving.
• Manage quality control tool inventory to ensure up-to-date calibration logs and serviceability.
• Review and understand shop / erection drawings, details, and installation instructions.
• Attend third party inspections and procedure testing, verifying that test methods and/or procedures do not deviate from the specifications.
• Ensure each project meets requirements of company quality control manual.
• Conduct regular inspections of workmanship and materials installed on site.
• Verify that the installation of products is being completed in accordance with the project's erection drawings, project architect's specifications, and the Field Quality Control Procedures Manual.
• Generate photo documentation when necessary.
• Coordinate turnover and acceptance of completed work including that of affiliated sub-contractors to the General Contractor on an area-by-area basis.
• Troubleshoot deficiencies and communicate with erection/fabrication management to resolve issues.
• Review and understand contract Specifications, scope of work and exclusions outlined in the contract and related industry standards (i.e. ASTM, AWS, AISC, IBC.)
• Assemble WPS submittal packages.
• Publish and distribute QC reports in accordance with current Quality Assurance procedures.
• Assist in the training of field employees in quality control inspections procedures and processes.

Education

• High School Diploma/GED
• Desired certifications: ICC S1 and S2, NACE level 1, SSPC level 1, AWS CWI

Experience

• Five (5)+ years of experience, with at least two (2) years in a quality management role
