Since 1854, the innovation and creativity of Louis Vuitton’s expert craftsmanship has been passed from generation to generation. Louis Vuitton U.S. Manufacturing (LVUSM) is a part of this rich history and tradition, and proudly operates workshops in California and Texas.
Our new Texas workshop is seeking a Purchasing Manager, to join our growing team and operations. As a pivotal member of the Supply Chain & Logistics (SC&L) team, reporting directly to the Supply Chain & Logistics Director, the Purchasing Manager will ensure the procurement of raw materials and components from domestic and international suppliers to meet our production plan. Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Define inventory targets of raw material and components based on the production plan and supplier performance, and monitors the volume of orders placed in accordance with inventory targets.
- Collaborate strongly with Finance to monitor overstock situation and depreciation management.
- Participate in different routines of the workshop (production meetings, level of stock follow-up, etc.).
- Track and report key functional metrics (shortages, inventory coverage, cost of obsolescence).
- Interface with Senior Leadership regarding the status of materials and components.
- Redefine Purchasing SOPs in partnership with main partners (production, planning, and finance).
- Lead total inventory levels to ensure well-balanced global stock coverage.
- Oversee international vendor coordination, follows up on logistics lead time, and support the production teams.
- Follows supplier performance with a Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) approach.
- Identify best practices with global manufacturing facilities.
- Being an active member of the Louis Vuitton purchasing community.

PROFIL
- Bilingual skills in Spanish and/or French is a plus.
- Experience with MRP and related software (SAP, JDE, etc.)
- Excellent organization, analytical, and detail orientation skills are required
- Perform other duties as assigned and dictated by business needs
- Strong management and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), particularly advanced skills in Excel.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time
- 5-7 years relevant experience in Logistics, Purchasing or Supply Chain environment
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Strong management and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including team building, meeting facilitation, and collaborative problem-solving/decision-making.
- APICS Certification in Supply Chain is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented, and continually changing environment.
