Assists in determining the quality and order date for materials needed to meet the master production schedule; handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines; may operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment. Individual contributor representing the most common entry point for this career stream; works under direct supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Order all parts for the assigned service technicians in the quickest yet most cost effective source.
- Obtain parts pricing for quotes, Price the quotes and type them up to be sent out to the customers. Give completed quotes to Maintenance Manager for review and approval.
- Other duties based upon business needs.
- Learn SAP PM CMMS system
- Maintain an accurate inventory.
- Perform daily cycle counts.
- Maintain an accurate record of all parts ordered and be persistent with suppliers for parts that are delayed.
- Mark all incoming parts with proper job or ticket number. Put material in proper location for staging. Include a copy of the order sheet with the parts.
